The story of this delightful kitchen is shared by designer Irene Press.<\/h3>\n

<\/em><\/p>\n

This is a classically-styled kitchen with a rather timeless design. The doors are made of painted profile panels.<\/p>\n

The feel depends on the color one chooses for the doors. If the doors were gray, for example, we could say that it is a Scandinavian kitchen. If white, then English style. In this case, however, green gives a slightly Slavic feel to this kitchen.<\/p>\n

The worktop is a high-pressure laminate with oak effect. Compared to solid wood, high-pressure laminate is maintenance-free. If you want a wood-pattern kitchen worktop in your home, yet have no interest in oiling hardwood surfaces (usually twice a year), then high-pressure laminate with wood effect is a good alternative.<\/p>\n

The carcass is made with melamine coating (again, with wood-effect).<\/p>\n

The lights are warm white in spectrum, in order to get a homely feel.<\/p>\n

The appliances were chosen so as to bring in a touch of history. Another goal I had in mind was to demonstrate the option of integrating a so-called large oven. The integrated oven is wider than usual. If standard ovens are 60 cm wide, then this oven is 20-30 cm wider.<\/p>\n

My favorite detail in this kitchen is the sink. In the past, bustling about in my own kitchen, I had to occasionally take the bigger oven pots to the bathroom because due to their size I had no other place to wash them. This Villeroy & Boch sink has a really good capacity, it is convenient and easy to clean \u2013 so it is ace! :)<\/p>\n
